Weirdly enough, there is a little wrong with the title. It is because there is no way to push your domain at Network Solutions. The only option you have is to pull the domain from one Network Solutions account to another, which functions in pretty much the same way.
With a pull, the change of domain ownership, a domain push, is instigated by the buyer of a domain. It does get a little bit confusing because there are a lot of buyers out there who are not well-versed in domain name management, but you can probably get it working quite well.
Start by Selecting the Correct Menu
Once you are logged into your account, click the ‘Domain Names’ title in the main menu and then ‘Transfer to Network Solutions’ submenu. Yes, we know that your domain name is already going to be located on Network Solutions, but it is still the option that you need to select.
In the box that pops up, you will need to type in the domain name that you are looking to transfer. Once you have done so, you will be asked to fill in a CAPTCHA code. You can’t fail at that.
Choose Whether to Renew the Domain Name
In many cases, you are going to be saving money by renewing your domain name at the next step. So, you should do it at the next stage. Of course, if you do not wish to extend the length of your domain name right now, and some people won’t, you should hit the ‘Remove’ button.
Provide All Relevant Information
If you are the buyer of the domain, then enter all your details and payment information at this stage. You will need the details of the buyer if you are the seller. But if you already have an account on Network Solutions, you will only need to select one of two options in order to complete the order.
An Authorization Email
In the final step, the person losing the domain (the seller) will receive an authorization email to be able to confirm the buyer’s transfer request and authorize the push. Once the domain push is authorized and domain has been moved, it will automatically be available in the account of the person who bought the domain.
Domain Pull is Different to Push But Still Secure
We are not sure why Network Solutions only offer domain pulls, but it is all that they have. It is going to be a little bit different from how a push process is managed on other registrars. However, don’t worry; the process is still just as secure as the push. You need to make sure that you do it correctly.
As you can see, the domain push at networksolutions.com (in this case the pull) is easy process, but transferring a domain name out of Network Solutions is different and you should know more about it.
